Editorial Principles
How content on this website is prepared, reviewed and updated.
These principles govern every page of this website.
Purpose and limits
The information here is general; it does not replace examination, diagnosis or treatment, and no medical consultation is given through this website.
Content contains no claims of superiority, no comparisons, no patient imagery and no promises of outcome.
Accuracy and sources
Professional and academic information rests on documented first-party professional records and, where available, on independent authoritative sources. Prof. Dr. İ. Semih Öncel’s own curriculum vitae and publication archive are used as a first-party source.
Bibliographic records are enriched with identifiers such as PMID and DOI where a match with an external database is established. The absence of a PMID or DOI is not by itself a reason to exclude a legitimate first-party record.
No identifier, date or bibliographic detail is produced by inference; conflicting information between sources is never resolved by guessing, and disputed detail is withheld until it is resolved. No page is presented as a complete list.
Preparation and responsibility
Medical content is reviewed and approved by Prof. Dr. İ. Semih Öncel before publication; responsibility for the published medical information rests with him.
Medical content is reviewed again at regular intervals and whenever a development requires it; each page shows a real update date.
Illustrations
Medical illustrations on this site are original illustrative editorial artwork created for this website. They are not photographs of patients, not before/after material, not diagnostic images and not material quoted from another source.
On pages carrying clinical, anatomical or surgical visuals, the warning text required by the regulation is shown once at page level together with this short provenance statement.
Update date and site editor
Each page shows its own real last-update date. That date comes from the source content record; it is never generated from the visit or the build time, and a page without a real update date is not published.
The site editor can be reached on the practice telephone published on this website (+90 232 421 54 26). That number is for general and editorial correspondence; no medical advice is given by telephone.
